I’m can and do compère at many different types of functions including presentations, fund raisers, competitions and contests.
If you are holding a charity fund raising event I can at as your compère or master of ceremonies for the evening. Holding it all together, introducing artists and performers as well as doing all the important announcing needed to direct your guests, enabling the night to run smoothly without and hitches.
I can be you problem solver, your go to man and I discreetly iron out any hitches that occur due to unforeseen circumstances, so your guests are none the wiser.
As a compere, I rely on my quick wit and repartee to humorously sail through the night with a winning smile and effortless professional verbal dexterity.
These are great and important qualities a compère needs for the running of successful events that might involve competitions and contests where otherwise there may be a lot of pressure on yourself. There may be circumstances where you need to be seen to be completely impartial and can be no way connected to the result of a competition or contest. I’m the perfect solution.
In 2015 I was lucky enough to be one of the compère’s and DJ for the “Purple Ball of Hope” along side ITV / Granada Television reporter, presenter and all round nice guy, Paul Crone. The object of the Purple Ball is to raise money for the treatment of pancreatic cancer, one of the most server and deadly forms of cancer. It’s a particular nasty form of cancer that sadly doesn’t have a great mortality rate. So any funds raised by the charity are directed into the research and treatment of this condition. Along with the same team I will be assisting and doing my bit again this year (2016) on the 16th April at the Village Hotel, Ashton-Moss.
One of the other charities that I was honored to compère for is Bolton based “Lagan’s Foundation“. The foundation offers home respite and support services for young children with heart defects or feeding issues. Not just children but their parents as well who may need help at critical times in the first few months of their child’s life.
I have also personally held a charity fund raiser for two great causes, Breast Cancer Care and Willow Wood Hospice who can be found in Ashton-under-Lyne. This event was part of a combination of fund raising efforts that all culminated in a great night at the Joshua Bradley in Gee Cross, Hyde. The evening consisted of a charity Smartphone Quiz and also an auction, a raffle and the sale of a very special “Calendar Girls” style calendar, featuring staff from the Joshua Bradley and local patrons of the venue. I was the organiser of the event and brought in various people to help out and assist me run the evening and provide various services that made the whole effort work and work very well.
Through corporate clients I have worked for a great many other charities and events have all benefited for my help and services as compère / MC.
If you have an event and need someone who will hold the night together and generally assist in making the night a success, I could be just what you are looking for and need! Email me with what you have in mind and let’s see if it is something that fits nicely into my remit.
I look forward to hearing from you…
